Do you think you have endometriosis or have you been diagnosed with endometriosis? One of the number one things that we are seeing in our clinic is people coming in for shockwave therapy to help manage their endometrial pain. Endometriosis occurs when endometrial-like cells are found outside the uterus. These adhesions can attach to an ovary, fallopian tube, lung, or even the brain, causing significant discomfort and health issues. Endometriosis is usually diagnosed through a laparoscopic exam—an exploratory surgery that identifies the presence of endometrial cells outside the uterus. Unfortunately, this procedure can result in additional scar tissue. Whether or not you opt for this confirmation surgery, shockwave therapy is proving to be an effective treatment option.
But now we can help gout sufferers with a new gout shockwave treatment that we believe will not just alleviate their symptoms but get them back to normal and stop future episodes of this painful illness. This is especially true in the acute phase of gout.
By using shockwave therapy on gout, we disrupt the uric acid crystals that are present in the synovial fluid, deposited within the joint tissues.
Shockwave also helps relieve pain associated with gout and stimulates new blood vessel formation, accelerating the body’s own natural healing process in inflamed tissue and encouraging speedy recovery from not just the pain, but swelling and redness too.
What’s more Shockwave therapy provides an analgesic effect that relieves pain and mobilises the angiogenic and nitric oxide substances to promote rapid recovery from the pain, swelling and redness.
Our clients report immediate relief that continues to improve over the next few days. Most clients require one treatment while others may require 3 to 12. This is all done in 30 minutes to one hour.
Most patients will experience an immediate pain relief following the treatment. However, within 2–4 hours after the treatment, they may experience some soreness in the treated area. This soreness has been reported as tolerable and not limiting. Shockwave Therapy poses no harm to the human body and is considered safe.
The number of treatments varies depending on the indication and tissue response. The effect of the treatment is cumulative, so you will typically need more than one treatment. Very often though, you will experience relief right after the first treatment. Most indications require 3–5 treatments which are done 3–10 days apart, depending on the patient’s tolerance and their tissue response.
There may be a slight feeling of discomfort during the treatment, depending on the level of pain the patient is already experiencing in the area. However, most patients are able to tolerate this discomfort. Additionally, the intensity of the treatment can be adjusted throughout the session.
At this time, we do not take accept insurance but as Shockwave Therapy grows in popularity, we may offer it in the future. Despite the costs, many patients consider Shockwave Therapy as a valuable investment in their health. The treatment's ability to avoid surgery, reduce long-term medication use, and improve quality of life can outweigh the initial expense. When considering the value of Shockwave Therapy, it's also worth noting the potential savings from a quicker return to work and daily activities.
Preparing for a Shockwave Therapy session is straightforward. It's recommended that you:
· Avoid taking anti-inflammatory medications for at least 48 hours before the session, as these can interfere with the body's natural healing process.
· Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being treated.
· Have a light meal a few hours before your appointment to ensure you're comfortable and not distracted by hunger during the session.
Additionally, it's important to discuss any concerns or questions you may have with your healthcare provider before the treatment. This will help you go into the session feeling prepared and at ease.
After a Shockwave Therapy session, it's normal to experience some immediate pain relief, although the full effects of the treatment may take a few weeks to manifest. Here's what you can typically expect post-treatment:
· Mild soreness or bruising in the treated area, which should diminish within a few days.
· A possible increase in your range of motion and flexibility as the pain decreases.
· Close to the womb during pregnancy
· On malignant tumors or nearby tissues
· Near the brain or spine

· Shockwave therapy works by sending sound waves into the affected tissues, which can stimulate increased blood circulation and cellular repair activity. This boosts the body’s natural healing process, helping tissues repair more rapidly.
Shockwave therapy offers a range of benefits that make it an appealing treatment option, including:
· This therapy can benefit patients by reducing pain, accelerating recovery, and improving mobility, without the need for surgery.
· Some patients may experience immediate relief; however, typically, significant results are noticed after several treatments. Each individual recovery time is different.
· Side effects are generally minimal but may include temporary discomfort or swelling at the treatment site.
Compared to long-term medication or surgery, shockwave therapy can be a more economical option for some patients. However, this can vary based on individual medical needs and healthcare plans.
